Prune what's sick. There are some business models and people that aren’t going to work within the vision of tomorrow. If something is sick and unlikely to get well, it’s time to let it go.

Hard conversations are my weaker spot. I hate having those conversations. I attempted insurance sales before I started working in Higher Education and didn't last long in that industry. I'm an introvert, who hates talking on the phone. After a couple of months of not meeting my goals, we had to have that hard conversation. It was obvious that I was not meant for sales. Sometimes cutting the "sick" isn't necessarily because they aren't good workers, but maybe they just aren't in the right career. Comments are closed.
