Melissa Collins has served the Harrison Regional Chamber of Commerce for several years before being asked
to serve as the 2020 Chairman of the Board. She began her tenure as the co-chairman of the local area’s
strategic plan, #believeboonecounty. Working in this capacity, she guided countless committees to create and
publish this guide to direct the forward progress of the many entities of community. She was named a Woman
of Distinction in 2019 in Harrison for her work with #believeboonecounty.
Melissa has lived in this great town for most of her life. She has been a Realtor since 2009. For 5 1⁄2 years she
has been Principal Broker/Owner of Weichert, Realtors-Market Edge, one of the top producing real estate
companies in the area. She graduated from Harrison High School in 1983. After completing her Bachelor’s
Degree in Elementary and Middle Level Education from Harding University in 1986 she taught for the Little
Rock School District while her husband, Ken, attended UAMS medical school....
