AEDC Site Education. Steve Jones and the Arkansas Economic Development Commission will be doing a class for a small group about what to look for and the “ingredients” it takes to prepare a site to attract businesses.

GobsMobile. Addie Jones, our Chamber Media Intern for the summer, is traveling with the GobsMobile around Harrison today. The GobsMobile is an old school bus that has been outfitted with chromebooks, wifi, reading areas, and all sorts of books. This mobile library.....

 is designed to go around to the different elementary schools and encourage students to read and connect them with the resources to do so. Addie and the GobsMobile will be at Signature Tower at 1 PM today (Tuesday, July 18th).

NWAEDD Board Meeting. Each month the board of the NWAEDD meets to discuss workforce and economic development for the 9 county region that they serve. Bob will be introducing Wilson as the new President/CEO of the Chamber and member of the board.

UofA Economic Development Visit. David Mason, Dean of Workforce at Northark and Wilson Marseilles were recently connected in a few ways with the University of Arkansas Economic Development Department. David and Wilson met virtually with the Innovation and Entrepreneurship department and will complement that with another meeting on Friday with Donna Graham who is coming to listen and learn about where UofA may be a tool for our toolkit in workforce development for our region.
